Scottish shorthairs
Our cattery is devoted to Scottish Straights & British Shorthairs.
Founder of the cattery Dr. Karin Roth is a Veterinarian and also one of the founders and active board members of Estonian Cat Association ESTICAT- first TICA club in the Baltics.
The name of the plantation comes from the Celtic language. Translated, Rory means Red King and Mac means son. So the Estonian translation is Son of the Red King.
Cattery Macrory is a TICA registered cattery.
We are also registered in CFA, WCF and ACF.
The Macrory cattery deals with two main lines – beautiful traditional colors with white (vans, bicolors, harlequins) and silver/golden shaded point.
We are the first to breed pointed cats here also – this will be a good challenge but these bright blue eyes and very exciting exterior is worth it. Work with point and golden/silver shaded lines started on 2011.
About the breed
Scots are cats of unparalleled character. This is why they are so appreciated and different from other breeds. They are quiet, enjoy human companionship immensely, and express it on a daily basis.
Exhibitions
Going to shows is a great hobby for the whole family, especially if the cat is from the show class and there are lots of different prizes, cups and rosettes to be won. It’s a fascinating world that seems very confusing to the uninitiated. That’s why I’m writing a bit about what’s going on in Estonia, so that anyone interested can read and get involved.
Castrations

Time has passed quickly, Cedrus has grown into a beautiful big cat already. He's a nice kitty cat with a nice meow motor. He gets on well with the dogs and sometimes, if he's in the mood, he can play with them a bit. I'm also sending a picture of our cool character.
As I haven't been to a cat show, I have a few questions about the cat show on Saturday: what preparations should I make with the cat before, do I need to bring my own sandbox, do I need a cover for the cage so the cat can have some privacy. Should there be a cage for the cat, is there any extra litter to put in the cage?
Baby kitten is home safe and sound. It was a very long travel day but he did great. After about an hour into the flight he went to sleep until it was time to land.
I absolutely love him. He has a great appetite and drank a lot of water. He played with his new toys for about 2 hours until he was finally ready to sleep. He slept with me in our bed and I think he already feels at home.
I take him to the vet Friday morning for his first appointment, so I will make sure she helps me with the microchip then.

She's doing great :), she's adorable! Yesterday he still tended to hide under the sofa, but today he only went there when the vacuum cleaner was on. He eats voraciously, goes to the sandbox properly and is already purring. When we went upstairs to bed in the evening, he stayed down and calmly surveyed the whole first floor. Today he went upstairs to explore the second floor.
In any case, she is a very playful and curious little lady. We are very, very happy that she is now our new family member.
The new name of Olympia is now Beti š
Juno sniffed around, ate well and now she is so tired that her eyes are just squeezing shut....
We made a nest in a wicker basket and put a rattle over the mesh, Juno is nestling in the nest -so all is well!
During the day, I'll try to go looking for a real nest. Hortes had a great selection, but will look at other vendors for more....

I just wanted to let you know that the race went quite normally, there were quite a few bugs in the beginning. Julius checked every little corner of the room and was so happy - he ate his fill and kept grumbling:)
After playing for a long time, he finally got tired around 8pm and slept for a while, now he's wandering around again and occasionally cries a bit.
In short, everything is fine and we will keep you updated in the meantime.:)
Hermione checked out - he was amazed she was so friendly and so energetic after such a long trip.
Said to watch her for a few days just in case - but all looked great. Smile
I'm also letting you know that we got home fine, he cried a bit, but later he stayed asleep and when we got to Tallinn he was crying :). He is very curious and seems to be adapting very well. We also went to the doctor for a check up, they confirmed everything was fine, listened, looked and felt him over. Really loves to play, we are very happy.
And I must add that we are still very happy that Erebos came to us. It's always nice to come home when he comes to the door and watches our daily activities like a curious little child š
