Almost a week has passed since Lobelia joined our family.
\nEverything has gone very well. From the first night, she has been sleeping in my daughter\u2019s arms. She found her way there herself when she realized after a big evening play session that it was bedtime in an unfamiliar place\u2026 where to go? :))
\nAs of Sunday, she has independently explored the entire house and hangs out wherever we are at the moment.
\nAs I\u2019m writing this, she\u2019s sleeping on the couch against my back, with the dog next to her.
\nShe\u2019s not afraid of the dog and stays near him, but when he wags his tail or tries to sniff too closely, she still arches her back and hisses a bit \ud83d\ude42
\nThings have gone smoothly with the old cat as well. No stress at all. The older cat now sneaks into the small transport box to play hide-and-seek with Lobelia \ud83d\ude42
\nScottish cats have an admirable ability to adapt.
\nNot to mention their charm\u2026<\/p>\n

Time has flown by, and Cedrus has already grown into a beautiful big cat. He\u2019s a lovely lap cat with a delightful purring motor. He gets along well with the dogs, and when he feels like it, he enjoys playing with them a bit too. I\u2019m also sending a picture of our cool character.
\nSince we haven\u2019t participated in a cat show before, I have a few questions about the upcoming cat show on Saturday: what preparations should I make with the cat beforehand, do I need to bring my own litter box, does the cage need a cover to give the cat some privacy

Waiola is already very brave and well-behaved. We\u2019ve managed to arrange our schedules so she hasn\u2019t been alone for more than half an hour; someone is always at home with her. She eats well, drinks water properly, and uses the litter box. She quickly got the hang of the whole house and runs up and down the stairs on her own. She\u2019s very playful and craves a lot of closeness and cuddles. She isn\u2019t afraid of any family member; it feels like she\u2019s already fully accepted us all. She\u2019s brought us so much joy already, and Kristofer keeps talking about how much he loves Waiola. In just these few days, she\u2019s become so dear to us that we can\u2019t imagine how we managed before she came \ud83d\ude42 I really hope Waiola is as happy with us as we are with her. We try to give her endless closeness, cuddles, and snuggles to make her feel safe. I haven\u2019t managed to take many good photos yet\u2014she\u2019s either in the middle of playing or sleeping, and I don\u2019t want to disturb her then. But I\u2019m attaching one sleepy photo and will definitely send some great pictures soon! <\/p>\n

Baby kitten is home safe and sound. It was a very long travel day but he did great. After about an hour into the flight he went to sleep until it was time to land. <\/p>\n

I absolutely love him. He has a great appetite and drank a lot of water. He played with his new toys for about 2 hours until he was finally ready to sleep. He slept with me in our bed and I think he already feels at home. <\/p>\n

I take him to the vet Friday morning for his first appointment, so I will make sure she helps me with the microchip then. <\/p>\n

Our first days with Rhodon have passed. He\u2019s a very, very well-behaved kitty! He doesn\u2019t try to jump on tables or anywhere else on his own. Except for beds\u2014he\u2019d love to come onto them, but we don\u2019t allow it. We clap and let him know it\u2019s not okay, and we keep the bedroom door closed at night. At night, he\u2019s been whimpering and meowing; this morning we couldn\u2019t sleep past 6:30 \ud83d\ude42 But he\u2019s clever\u2014last night, he secretly chose the child\u2019s doll bed as his sleeping spot, and the child was fine with it since she hadn\u2019t played with it in a long time. The child was thrilled coming home, saying, \u201cFinally, I have a kitty!\u201d At Grandma\u2019s, all the other kids now want a kitty too because my child was so excitedly talking about her kitty even before meeting him. They bonded quickly. While Rebecca is usually energetic and a bit of a mischief-maker, with Rhodon, she was willing to do everything calmly and quietly right away. She let the kitty get used to her at first, doesn\u2019t allow playing with hands or feet, and wants to feed him and clean his litter box herself. We hope these interests don\u2019t fade quickly ;). And she\u2019s very excited about going to a cat show and the pet week at kindergarten. <\/p>\n

Some lines turned into multiple lines, but the first days have gone very well. Tonight, when I came back from the store, I was greeted by the sight of both the child and Rhodon exhausted together on the floor. <\/p>\n

Everything is great with the kitty! \ud83d\ude42 She\u2019s absolutely adorable! Yesterday, she kept hiding under the sofa, but today she only went there when we turned on the vacuum cleaner. She eats eagerly, uses the litter box properly, and is already begging for pets. When we went upstairs to sleep last night, she stayed downstairs and calmly explored the entire first floor. Today, she even ventured upstairs to check out the second floor. <\/p>\n

In any case, she\u2019s a very playful and curious little lady. We\u2019re absolutely thrilled that she\u2019s now our new family member. <\/p>\n

Olympia\u2019s new name is now Beti \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

B\u00e4mmi is truly special because you can have a conversation with her, and she\u2019s always at the door when someone arrives\u2014not just when I\u2019m the first to come home after a long day, but even when Aavo gets home a bit later. She checks out the whole family, sniffing out interesting news from computer bags, shoes, and trouser legs \ud83d\ude42 She knows how to get into the cupboard on her own, and we haven\u2019t forbidden it in the living room. She was tempted to go into the kitchen cupboard too, but I said in a completely normal tone that we don\u2019t go into the kitchen cupboard, and she didn\u2019t go \ud83d\ude42 Unbelievable!!! I\u2019ve never known such an intelligent pet \ud83d\ude42
To make sure B\u00e4mmi\u2019s day isn\u2019t too boring or long, every morning we pull the curtain aside just enough so she can easily get to the windowsill, because B\u00e4mmi won\u2019t go pushing through the curtains on her own \ud83d\ude42 She very politely lets me know if I\u2019ve forgotten to do that \ud83d\ude42 There\u2019s a lot of interesting stuff at the window\u2014the upstairs neighbor feeds pigeons (not exactly the best idea), and there are lots of them bustling around, with some even landing on our window. B\u00e4mmi makes it clear that this is not a place for pigeons \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

I don\u2019t think we can ever thank you enough for such a gift. She has completely transformed our family\u2019s life. I\u2019m the chosen one she sleeps next to and runs to, purring and singing. Our daughter has developed more in these couple of months than she did in an entire year before. Although the kitty is a bit wary of her, in the evenings they run around so much you can barely keep up. I\u2019ve never seen a cat bring a toy on its own and demand to play. And the way she sleeps is like something out of a movie\u2014she curls up as if folding in half. Her joy and cute little face wipe away every sad thought. Our family atmosphere has become much warmer and calmer. We\u2019re even considering getting another kitty so she\u2019d have someone like herself to \u201ctalk\u201d to, instead of just human language. What are your experiences with this\u2014would having two cats together work, or not? Perhaps you have a cat \u201cretiring\u201d soon; we have plenty of space and, as you can see, lots of love too. Usually, one doesn\u2019t stay without the other. We\u2019ve also gotten her teeth sorted out now, and I clean her eyes twice a day, so they stay beautiful too. <\/p>\n

I was recently looking into the journeys of your offspring, and it was impressive. You\u2019ve sent them to so many countries, and the feedback has been so warm. I really hope things are going well for you and that your hard work bears much fruit. At exactly 4:15pm Lancelot was taken home from Lufthansa Cargo. At first he was shivering because it was very cold in the room they put him in, but once he was in in the car he warmed up quite nicely. He has already adjusted to his new living space and cannot stop purring! And you were right about the feathers. He loves them so much! I already knew he was handsome but he stole my heart the minute I laid eyes on him! Ami is a little bit jealous of him at the moment but I am giving her plenty of attention as well to ensure her that she is not being replaced, just receiving a little brother. I attached a photo of him on the car ride home. He slept like a baby! He does send his love to you and says that he misses you very much, but is very happy here. He has so much love and excitement to offer! I cannot thank you enough for him. He sleeps in any position and it appears that he \"sucks his thumb\" which is super cute! I have decided to name him Bandit because at times he can be very mischievous and he has a mask on his face, I think that is a good name, what do you think? I may be e-mailing you with questions when I have any! I am going to check with the bank on Monday about the wire transfer as well so I will let you know what I hear from them. Thank you again Karin. Juno sniffed around, ate nicely, and now is so tired that her eyes are just closing from exhaustion...<\/p>\n

We made a nest inside a woven basket and draped a cloth over the handle; Juno is purring in her nest\u2014so everything is great!<\/p>\n

During the day, I\u2019ll try to look for a real pet bed. Hortes had a large selection, but I\u2019ll check other retailers too... <\/p>\n

I just wanted to let you know that the trip went quite smoothly, though there were quite a few meows at the start. Upon arriving at his new home, Julius checked out every corner of every room and was immediately so happy\u2014he ate his fill and kept purring \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n

After a long, long play session, he finally got tired around 8 PM and slept for quite a while; now he\u2019s exploring again and occasionally whimpering a bit.<\/p>\n

We got home about 45 minutes ago. she is AMAZING! She came right to me and started purring. She doesn't hide when you enter a room - she comes right out. She is FULL of energy. She's been running around like crazy. I guess she was tired of being cooped up. Although you can see from the photos - she had a lot more room coming home in the car than the carrier she was in. The last photo is her on the cat tree playing with a hanging ball. I tried to take some shots of her on the floor - but she's too fast. She's very sweet and not shy. I can't believe how she just walked right in and felt right at home. I've isolated her with me tonight. No other cats. Tomorrow I'll introduce her to the 2 girls after the vet checks her in the morning. She seems fine but I know sometimes the stress of a trip might not show up for a day or two. She seems perfectly fine though - clear eyed and no sniffles. I'll watch her for diarrhea. <\/p>\n

I took a quick look at the passport (that's really cute by the way) and I see the vaccine record but it's in a different language. So my vet will understand the shots she got - can you tell me what they are in English? I understand the Rabies. But not sure what the other 2 are. I see the dates and understand those. <\/p>\n

My goodness. I am just thrilled to death with her. She is small but has a good weight. Her head is much prettier in person than the photos. Beautiful round eyes. She reminds me of a snowbird. Everything is in perfect order! Galileo adapted to his new home very quickly. He\u2019s a very intelligent cat, immediately finding his litter box and knowing where he\u2019s allowed to scratch. He always wants to be in someone\u2019s lap or close to a person, constantly craving affection \ud83d\ude42 He probably still misses his siblings a bit, sometimes wandering around the apartment, sniffing and meowing, as if unsure what\u2019s wrong, but when you pick him up and cuddle him, everything\u2019s fine again. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s also become nicely acquainted with the guinea pig. The guinea pig spends most of its time in the cage, and he keeps circling around it, peeking in. The boy is also very happy; they play together nicely. Leo sleeps in our bed at night. Actually, we don\u2019t really know where he sleeps at night \ud83d\ude42 In the evening, he comes to cuddle with us, but at night he sleeps somewhere else, and in the morning, he\u2019s back cuddling with us. He has his own bed too, <\/p>\n
